March 10, 2018 – The Kona Brewers Festival
The Kona Brewers Festival raising funds for charities through the celebration of handcrafted beers and local cuisine at a sustainable community gathering. Top chefs from some of the Big Island’s favorite restaurants will offer their best food pairings for beer, ranging from fresh fish and smoked meats to deep fried avocados and tropical sweets, served up fresh on a banana leaf plate against a backdrop of passing paddle boards and canoes at the historic Kamakahonu Bay Beach.
Time: First session from Noon to 3pm and second session from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. at King Kamehameha’s Courtyard Kona Beach Hotel lu`au grounds, Kailua-Kona.

March TBA, 2018 – Talk Story On The Land – Cloud Forest, Kona
Hike around the amazing Kona Cloud Forest located on the flanks of Hualalai Volcano and see the awesome tropical, forest, and montane zones of plants that change as the elevation increases. Led by Norman Bezona, a horticulture consultant for over 50 years and well known garden columnist for West Hawai’i Today.
