"KOKUA KAILUA" VILLAGE STROLL
Kona Stroll & Hulihe'e Palace Monthly Event
More and more people are finding Kokua Kailua the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, when Ali’i Drive in Kailua-Kona is transformed into a pedestrian-only walkway/marketplace from 1pm until 6pm.
Kokua Kailua presents kama’aina and visitors a unique opportunity to stroll in and out of the array of shops and restaurants in the oceanfront setting along Kailua Bay in Kona. And there is the added bonus of dozens of local musicians, artists and vendors lining Ali’i Drive with island-made crafts, art, music, and more.
At 4:00 p.m. Hulihee Palace hosts a free concert on the lawn adjacent to the historic landmark featuring the Merrie Monarchs men's glee club, the Hawai'i County Band on the Palace's South Lawn, presented by the Daughters of Hawaii.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own beach chairs or mats, which can be checked for free while dining or strolling Ali’i Drive.
