February TBA, 2018 – 31th Annual Hawaii Wood Guild Show – Waimea
Gallery hours Tues-Sat, 10am – 5 pm.
This is the yearly juried show of the best of fine woodworking that Hawaii island has to offer at the Isaacs Center, 65-1268 Kawaihae Rd., Kamuela.
February 3, 2018 – Annual Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival
The festival showcases the 60+ year old cherry trees planted at Church Row Park and the Japanese tradition of viewing them – hanami. The festival includes a variety of activities from 9 am to 3 pm at venues throughout Waimea – look for pink banners identifying site locations from the Parker Ranch Historic Homes on Mamalahoa Hwy. 190 to the Hawaiian Homestead Farmers Market on Hwy. 19.
Enjoy an all day lineup of Japanese and multi-cultural performing arts, plus hands-on demonstrations of bonsai, origami, traditional tea ceremony, and mochi pounding, and a host of colorful craft fairs. Enjoy free shuttle transportation among most venues.
February TBA, 2018 – The Annual Panaewa Stampede Rodeo
A large rodeo with competition in Team Roping, Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing, Bull Riding. There are also events done only in Hawaii. Cowgirls and Cowboys will compete in Pu’u Wai U and Double Mugging like the early ‘Paniolo’ days back then in Hawaii.
The Rodeo starts at 12 Noon Saturday and Sunday and at 11:00 AM Monday.

February 19, 2018 – “KOKUA KAILUA” Kona Village Stroll

Sun. 4 PM, Free, Hulihe’e Palace’s South Lawn
Hawaiian music featuring the Hawai’i County Band with kahiko hula by kumu Etua Lopes’ Na Pua U`i O Hawai`i hula halau on the at 4 p.m., presented by the Daughters of Hawai`i. Bring beach mats or chairs.
